What do we love? Richmond!

"Richmond!!!!! Rich what…Richmond...what do we love? Richmond!" This is a quote from the movie Coach Carter and it is always the first thing that I think of when I think of my new town! The pride they scream "Richmond" with is what I hope to embody as the years go by! My family is so excited to be coming back to central Kentucky and being on this team that is helping start this new campus in Richmond!

A little about me and my family.... I have moved around a bit but have always considered myself a "Kentucky boy!" I was actually born in Lexington, but most of my family is from Harrodsburg and Mt Sterling. When I was two, my family moved to Arizona, where I spent the next 10 years. My family then moved back to Harrodsburg and I spent my middle school, high school and college years there. I am a graduate of Cincinnati Christian University and after graduation moved to Las Vegas for about 8 months (what I would call my "desert wandering" -  literally. It's a great story so ask me about it.) I then took a youth ministry position in Cincinnati, OH. After five years there my wife, Diana and I felt called to plant a new urban church in downtown Bossier City, Louisiana.

It was in Louisiana that our family grew from two to five!  Diana, who is a dental hygienist, and I have all boys - Judah (6), Gideon (4) and SIlas (2). You can imagine how crazy our life is but  we love it.

We are so excited to be a part of this team and we cannot wait to settle officially in Richmond and join our new community loving Jesus and others together! I cannot wait to meet all the new people God is going to bring into our lives through our church!

"Rich what...RICHMOND!!!!!!"
